Pieces Technologies, a healthcare artificial intelligence and technology company, relocated its headquarters from Dallas, Texas to Williams Square, a four-building business park in the heart of Las Colinas, Texas. Scott + Reid’s extensive and successful work history in the complex led this client to contract Scott + Reid as the general contractor for the interior remodel.

This state-of-the-art, 10,882-square-foot office showcases their cutting-edge technology and provides a fun, “tech company” vibe with a game area, large break room with lounge seating and individual banquettes, and a huddle space with stadium seating. Various conference rooms are scattered throughout, intentionally designed to allow employees to collaborate, leverage technology, and take advantage of functional areas while providing additional space needed to accommodate future growth. Use of black metal framing around glass office fronts and polished concrete flooring are punctuated with warm reclaimed wood elements and mixed-medium graphic walls to achieve an elevated modern industrial feel.

Scott + Reid engaged early in the design stage, allowing the project team to understand the overall vision and utilize their experience to guide the design and finish-out selections while maintaining the client’s budget. This intentional process allowed for Pieces’ culture and brand to be incorporated into their new office space, acting as a catalyst for innovation, recruiting, and retention.

Despite numerous design changes due to existing site constraints, long-lead times for imported materials, and impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, Scott + Reid was able to bring the vision to fruition within the strict, 45-day schedule.
